Featured Artist: Encaustic Abstract Painter Wendy Wernet

Wendy Wernet artistic journey began in photography before she started taking art classes. She found encaustic art completely by accident, and immediately became intrigued with the medium. "There is such an endless array of techniques, that to this day, I am still discovering possibilities."

When she's not working in encaustic, Wendy paints with cold wax and oil (or pigments). Wendy's creations typically involve either abstract or landscape themes and she has been in several juried exhibitions across Michigan, New York, and New Mexico, and teach classes as well in both mediums.
